Finer Things….Awesome Event!!!

On Friday, April 17 the middle school and high school students treated a large crowd to the 2009 spring edition of Finer Things. Finer Things is thefine arts program at GCA where students showcase their talents and creativity centeredaround a theme each semester. Fine arts at GCA includes a diverse array of subjects suchas choir, praise band, drama, film, and most recently orchestral strings. For this FinerThings the student’s pieces took on the theme of love as depicted in the Bible. With arange of musical genres, various film pieces produced entirely by students, and twogripping student-written plays, the theme came to life on stage and challenged everyonepresent to live out God’s perfect love. One of the major points of emphasis is that eachpiece be done entirely by students, from the writing to the live performance to themultimedia technology utilized. Hats off to our students for their outstanding work!
